1. Characters
White or colorless crystalline powder, hardly soluble in the acid and water. Odorless and tasteless, relative density 2.68, with moisture absorption. Soluble in ether and other solvents, insoluble in alcohol. The solubility is greater in acid than in water. Decompose in alkaline solution to form sodium fluoride and silicon dioxide. After scorching 300 degrees above, decomposition into sodium fluoride and silicon tetrafluoride, toxic.

2. Stability
Stable. Incompatiable with oxidizing agents, water. Moisture sensitive.

3. Uses
Mainly used as enamel cosolvent, glass opalescent agent, acid - proof cement and acid - proof concrete coagulant and wood preservative, pesticide industry used in the manufacture of pesticides. Natural latex products used as a coagulant, electrogalvanized nickel iron triple coating used as an additive, but also used as a plastic filler, in addition to pharmaceutical and drinking water fluoride treatment and manufacture of artificial crcrite sodium fluoride.
