It has pharmacological effects by inhibiting intracellular phosphodiesterase, increasing intracellular cyclic adenosine (cAMP) concentration, preventing calcium ion transport into mast cells, thus stabilizing the cell membrane of mast cells, inhibiting and preventing the release of histamine, 5-hydroxytryptamine, leukotrienes, chronic response mediators and other allergic mediators.
