Acai Berry, also known as Euterpe Badiocarpa or Euterpe Oleracea, is a member of the palm family. It has long, slender trees up to 15 to 25 meters tall with trunks about 10 to 15 cm in diameter. It has brown and purple flowers, red leaf sheaths, and ripe Acai berries that turn from green to purple. They are about 1 -- 2 cm in diameter, arranged individually in each leaf sheath.
