The linear shrinkage test method covers the determination of the linear shrinkage of the fraction of a soil sample passing a 425um test sieve from linear measurement on a bar of soil.

The linear shrinkage mould is made by brass. Conforms to BS 1377:2.

Linear Shrinkage Mould 140 mm long and 12.5mm radius and is used for the determination of the total linear shrinkage of soils, and indicates the plastic properties of soils with low clay content.
