C008 Soil Casagrande Define Liquid Limit And Plastic Limit Apparatus Device


It intends to measure liquid limit of soil and Calculates the natural viscosity of soil. It is suitable for the soil whose partical sizeis less than 0.5mm and the soil whose organic content is less than 5%.

Liquid Limit Device
With consists of a brass cup held on an adjustable bracket. The bowl can be adjusted for a fall raised & dropped on a rubber of standard hardness by cam action. Complete with one casagrande grooving tool, one ASTM grooving tools and a height gauge block. Hand operated, with counter. As per IS : 2720 (Part-V), IS : 9259, BS : 1377, AS : 89

2) Soil knife: 3 inches long (76.2 mm), width of 3/4 inches (19 cm) of the soil knife or blade
3) liquid limit: a mechanical device consisting of a copper plate and support
4) slot device: a slotted with gauges
5) capacity: a suitable container, such as a cover plate, to prevent loss of moisture during weighing
6) Balance: a balance of 0.01 grams
