CFS-973, Hexamethyldisilazane is a trimethyl terminated silyl amine. It is an extremely strong silyl agent. It can be described as Bis(trimethylsilyl)amine and it's normally abbreviated as HMDS. Co-Formula can offer commercial CFS-973 under high purity grade. CFS-973 is primarily used as a blocking agent, a surface modifier and a pharmaceutical intermediate for the manufacturer of various chemicals.

Applications
CFS-973  can be used as a blocking agent to protect sensitive functional groups. It is a reagent for the preparation of trimethylsilyl derivatives;
CFS-973 can be used as a versatile silylation agent and an intermediate for functional silicones and pharmaceutical synthesis;
CFS-973 can be used as a tackifier and adhesion promoter for photoresist;
CFS-973 can be used in GC-MS to enhance the detectability of compounds with polar functional groups;
CFS-973 can be used as surface modifier for inorganic fillers treatment. HMDS coatings on various micro and nanoparticles make them be resistant to water and flocculation.

Storage
CFS-973 should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated place, and avoid exposure to humidity.
CFS-973 should be stored in its original containers and used up as soon as possible after opening.
When stored in a strictly sealed and unopened container, CFS-973 has a shelf life of 12months.
