1. HENGDA-M7163 is a monomeric long-chain alkylfunctional silane.
2. HENGDA-M7163 is a clear colourless liquid and soluble in common non-polar organic solvents (e.g. petroleum ether, toluene). However its low volatility and viscosity make HENGDA-M7163 an easy-to-handle additive. During the hydrolysis reaction between water and HENGDA-M7163 a certain amount of methanol (VOC) is released.
3. HENGDA-M7163 silane can be used for the treatment of mineral fillers and pigments or inorganic surfaces in general (e.g. concrete, ATH, MDH). The long-chain alkyl functionality results in unique compound properties (better dispersion, high filler loadings, enhanced mechanical properties, reduced water uptake) when HENGDA-M7163 treated fillers are incorporated into polymers (e.g. polypropylene).
4. Because of its unique structure, HENGDA-M7163 exhibits superior hydrophobicity on substrates and forms weather- and moisture-resistant bonds to substrates as well.

Applications:

1. It is mainly used to treat inorganic materials, e.g. glass, silica. aluminum oxide, Kaolin, pottery and porcelain, mica, silicon carbide, talcum powder etc.
2. In order to improve the property of blending with organic matter and water proofing, enhancing the mechanical property of the products.
3. Fog-proof preparation of glass
a)   Protect blank glass and coated glass (optical antireflex coating, vacuum antireflex coating, reflective coating)
b)   Protect optical parts or precision instrument with graduations and metal frames.
4. Protect historical relics or other products from water
5. Protect historical relics (especially outdoor historical relics) from corrosion, freeze or efflorescence.

Storage and shelf life:

1. HENGDA-M7163 is supplied in 25 kg or 200 kg drums or 1000kg containers.
2. The containers must remain tightly sealed during storage and kept in a cool, well aired place. The product should be protected against humidity.
3. In the unopened container the shelf life of HENGDA-M7163 is min.12 months from delivery.
