Product Description

HENGDA-M3133 is a bifunctional organosilane possessing reactive epoxy and hydrolyzable inorganic methoxy silyl groups.

The dual nature of its reactivity allows HENGDA-M3133 to bind chemically to both inorganic materials (e.g. glass, metals fillers) and organic polymers (e.g. thermosets, thermoplastics, and elastomers), thus functioning as an adhesion promoter and a surface modifier. HENGDA-M3133 is a clear, colorless liquid.

Applications:
 
1. It is used in the production process of fiberglass, as a size ingredient.
2. It is used as an additive to polyurethane resins used in foundry.
3. It is used in polysulfides and polyurethanes, epoxy resin adhesive, filled or reinforced thermoset resins, fiberglass adhesive and inorganic-filled or glass-reinforced thermoplastic resins etc.
4. It is used to enhance the electrical performance of epoxy-based electronic sealants and packaging materials and printed circuit boards, improving the bond between the resin and the matrix or filler.
5. It is used in a wide range of fillers and matrices, including clay, talc, wollastonite, silica, quartz or metals such as aluminium, copper and iron.


Reactivity

In the presence of water, the methoxy groups ofHENGDA-M3133 hydrolyzes form reactive silanol groups which can bond to a variety of inorganic substrates.

Examples of suitable inorganic substrates are glass, glass fibers, glass wool, mineral wool, silicic acid, quartz, sand, cristobalite, wollastonite and mica as well as aluminum hydroxide, kaolin, talc, other silicate fillers, metal oxides and metals.

HENGDA-M3133 may be used with such polymers as epoxy, phenolic, furan and melamine resins, polyurethanes, PA, PBT, PC, EVA, modified PP, PVB, PVAC, PVC, acrylics and silicones.



Packaging, storage and shelf life
HENGDA-M3133 is supplied in 25 kg,200 kg drums and 1000kg IBC containers.
In the unopened container HENGDA-M3133 has a shelf life of min.12 months from delivery.
