Product Description

The core material of these oxygen sensors are ZrO2 ceramics which has characteristic of high hardness but brittle. It can easily get damaged by physical hits. For example, dropping the sensor to ground will maintenance. In this case, the car engine fault light would light up.
Some of the newer models uses resistance to warm up sensor chip for speed up the operating. These resistance be easily burnt or melt in extreme situation. Which will than cause the oxygen sensor can ' t reach working temperature.
The exhaust gas could also cause contamination to oxygen sensor. There are mainly three types of contamination could happen: Silicon, Lead and Carbon. These compounds can accumulate and stick to the prob and limit air flow into and out to the sensor.
